Poetry

Maria Lai
Maria grew up on an isolated island where people, especially women, were used to oral communication and were strangers to the written word. And with Salvatore Cambosu's initiation, she found the bridge between ignorance and enlightenment.
.
These form the cornerstones of Maria Lai's creations. She chose needle and thread - the homework of the laboring women of Sardinia; and she used needle and thread to weave on cloth like a pen on a book, except that no one understands these ways of writing.
.
The writing that no one understands may be poetry, myths, love stories. It is soft, slender, poetic.
